Today instead of a home tour, I'm going to give you ideas for small space living.
The use of mirrors is always a smart idea in a small space. It visually expands a room.
The chair is transparent Lucite. Thus it appears to take up no space visually.
A book shelf can always be used for storage in the kitchen. It takes up more vertical space than horizontal.
If you don't have room for a dining table, this arrangement could be your answer.
If you have a fairly small corner, turn it into banquette seating and add a table. Instant dining space.
If you don't have an actual foyer or mud room, create a space like this to store shoes and gloves and such. The locker is a place to hang sweaters or jackets.
Here is another small dining space utilizing banquette seating. Even a very small table, like the one above, allows room for at least one person and possibly two to dine.
If you don't have a guest room, you could add a built-in bed for when guests spend the night. Below is drawer storage for files.
A day bed can serve as seating. And then used as a guest bed when needed.
Next week I'll have Part II of clever ideas for small space living.
