Daily Entertainment & Another Trip To Trader Joe's

Oh my goodness! I had no idea how much I was missing out on on my patio. There is constant entertainment out there!
I loved my gazebo. I truly did.

But you know what? I like this better!

I've learned in life that when you lose one thing, it is important to find gratitude for what you still have. And I have squirrels and birds galore!

Moving that bird bath has brought all this into focus. The birds are all over the place. At the bird bath. Hopping on the furniture and decor.

The squirrels are into mischief and I'm getting great photos of them and enjoying their antics.

I got the bird bath last year after I got the gazebo. So I've never seen all this action before. Making up for it now!

And speaking of the bird bath, I wanted you to know that it is solar. So when there is sun, the fountain is running.

I went to Trader Joe's yesterday morning right when they opened, because today is to be a hot one. I had not shopped since my last visit there a week from last Monday.

While I was shopping, a man came up to me and asked if I was finding everything. Come to find out, he is the owner of this particular Trader Joe's.

He said he was from Chicago. So I asked him what brought him to Tulsa. He said he wanted his own store.

He gave me a free Trader Joe's grocery bag, and I bought a few more.

My freezer, which is small, was fairly empty before I did my shopping. Now it is full.

The owner (I forgot to get his name) showed me all his favorite things, at my insistence. And explained that what I didn't like to bring back for a full refund. They are so great about that!

Now I have all these new-to-me foods to try out. And I've been taking all your suggestions and buying foods that you told me that you like from there as well.

Those ginger snaps are delicious!

I even bought soy corn dogs. I haven't had a corn dog in many years. Probably not since my kids were little. And it certainly wasn't soy!

I got home with three very full sacks of groceries for under $100. Now that wouldn't happen at the local grocery store.

Trader Joe's is my new favorite store.

Happy Memorial Day weekend!
