Blogs Or Instagram?

So many bloggers that I used to follow have pretty much left their blogs and gone to Instagram.

I don't use Instagram. I tried it, but it just didn't appeal to me. And I spend enough time on other social media. I scarcely have time to add another one to the list.

Certainly there's nothing wrong with leaving one medium behind and embracing another. To each their own. 

But I miss the bloggers I know that have pretty much stop posting. We came to know one another well. We established friendships. 

We came together like neighbors. We cheered achievements, welcomed new family members, and grieved deaths.

But now it is different. Many have left their blogs behind and moved on. Nothing wrong with that. But I sure miss them!

I miss reading about their daily lives and visiting their blogs. It has left a hole in the fabric of blogging. So the ones that still blog hold a special place in my heart. 

I will likely never meet them in person. But I feel like I know them well. 

I know the names of their pets and their children and where they live and how they like to garden and decorate. 

So many blogs are just sitting on the internet, rarely updated, like empty houses waiting for occupants to return.

How about you? Do you like other mediums like Instagram as much as blogs?
