It is cloudy on this Saturday. I'm hoping for rain.
There is a stillness in the air. Even the birds are hardly chirping.
The pupsters are in their customary places. Charlie on the left side of me next to the end of the couch. Abi is on the other side.
This is my new computer. It came Thursday just like they said it would. I didn't get around to opening it until yesterday morning.
I'll give you a review of this laptop once I've used it a week or so.
One thing that is different is that, unlike all my other laptops, the end of the charging cord that goes into the side of the laptop isn't a small round one. Which really, they become kind of flimsy and fall out.
Instead it is one that looks more like what you'd use for a USB. It is much sturdier. So I like that.
While I was talking to Cox Tech Support yesterday, in which I had them look over things remotely and make sure this laptop was fully protected, I asked the tech about leaving the charger in versus taking it out when the battery is fully charged.
He told me (and I don't know if this is true, so don't quote me) that you really don't have to unplug the charger much anymore.
That I should perhaps unplug the charger from the laptop about twice per month and let the battery run completely down. So I'm going to try that.
I highly suggest, if you are looking for a laptop, that you get one that is back-lit. My last two have had that feature, and I just love it. You don't have to have a lamp or light on to see what you're doing.
Very nice when it's hot outside and the air conditioning is running.
My Kindle also has a back light. And that is a very nice feature as I always read before I go to bed.
I plug in my little fairy lights in the green jar and turn on the sound machine tuned to rain.

Speaking of reading my Kindle, I never buy ebooks.
There are so many free ebook sites that you can sign up for that will send you daily emails with their "pickings of the day."
Just Google free ebooks.
I like Freebooksy and Bookbub. Those are the only two I subscribe to now. I had a longer list, but I was choosing far too many to download and the list to read seemed endless.
I called my doctor the other day, and she ordered an antibiotic for me. I was done taking the medication for shingles. But after a lull toward the end of taking it, it seemed to be flaring up again.
I'm feeling better now. I just get tired easily.
I so enjoyed all your old time sayings. Most I'd heard of. But there were a few that were new to me and gave me a chuckle.
I wonder if kids growing up in this era will have sayings to remember? Or will they just be abbreviated letters they use when texting?
I hear a few birds chirping now. Dogs are sleeping. And all is well with the world.
Wherever you are, whatever you're planning to do, enjoy yourself. Slow down if you can to smell the roses, as they say.
