A SWEDISH WOODEN HOUSE SURROUNDED BY ROSES

This idyllic house in Falsterbo, Sweden, is surrounded by more than a hundred various types of roses. The beautiful wooden house was built in 1901 and has been painted in gray and white. The owners have successfully tried to keep the summer feeling of the house by keeping atmosphere light and airy.

Black and White makeover of a Sydney house

Working with a monochrome palette, interior designer Pamela Makin plays with contrasts in tone and texture in this revamped house in Sydney.
Forget shades of grey – interior designer Pamela Makin sees the world in black and white with nothing in between. Her work is a celebration of contrasts, not just in palette but also in texture – the rough and the smooth, the old and the contemporary, the raw and polished .
Tribal elements and bone artworks add a casual, natural feel to smart furnishings that could look a little too urban and formal.
