Castello Uglione, A medieval villa in Tuscany

Among the rolling hills of the Italian landscape, between Florence and Siena, through olive groves, is located Castello Uglione. Its more than just a retreat, it’s a place completely concealed from the outside world. Built around the year 1000, it was mentioned in Italian poet Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. A few years ago, it has been fully restored to modern luxury. It is transformed with antiques and brocades, with a mix of mid-century-modern pieces and relaxed objects in an Ibiza style, such as woven-grass lanterns and wooden sculptures.
