No Exit

Imagine that...

...Your name is Darby Thorne.

You're a college student, on your way home because your mother, you have just learned, has cancer. Your sister said she is being prepped for surgery.

Last time you saw your mother, you said some things, terrible things, to her. So it is paramount that you get back to apologize and ask for her forgiveness.

You find yourself driving in a blizzard. You don't have snow tires.

Your car has a quarter tank of gas left. Your cell phone is about to go out and you forgot to grab your charger as you raced out of your dorm.

It is almost dark now. You are in the middle of nowhere. But you see a rest stop up ahead. You know that you have no choice but to stop and wait out the storm till the snow plows can get there.

You notice that there are several other cars in the parking lot as you pull in.

As you walk toward the lit building through the falling snow, something odd catches your eye.

It is a van, a commercial van for a business, and there is an odd movement in the back of it.

You instinctively walk toward the movement. And you see something that changes everything.

It is a little girl. Drawing closer, you see that she is holding onto something. Like bars. And then you realize it is some sort of cage. A dog cage?

Why on earth is a little girl locked in a cage in the back of a van in the middle of a blizzard?

If you like non-stop action, this book is it. It will make your heart race and you won't be able to stop reading one suspenseful page after another.

What started as a family emergency has just become something else for Darby Thorne. There are four complete strangers inside the rundown rest stop, waiting out the storm.

And one of them, you now know, has kidnapped a child.

But which one?

You are stranded. The snow plows are stuck and won't get there till morning. You have no cell phone reception. There are no working phones inside.

You know you will have to spend the night with these strangers. Mere hours  But they may be the most important hours of your life.

If you come out alive.

What would you do if you were Darby Thorne? Would you wait out the storm and try to get help?

Would you confront those inside? Would you try to save the child?

Remember that this decision may be the most important one that you will ever make.
