A Rainy & Peaceful Weekend

Yesterday I woke up to thunderstorms. It was overcast most of the day. The sun finally came out in the late afternoon.

A pleasant day. Quiet and peaceful.

A typical day for the squirrels and Charlie at the patio door. He watches for them from beside me on the couch.

If I raise my camera, he's learned that that might mean a squirrel is out there, and he jumps down and runs to the door.

Tomatoes I'll have soon. I'm sure enjoying having baked potatoes with fresh chives too.

Abi in a quiet reflective moment out on the patio. That girl sure likes to have her picture taken.

This looks to me like a fairly young female cardinal. She just doesn't look like a mature cardinal somehow.

Alyssum does not like the heat. But when it rains quite a bit, it bushes out again and blooms.

What a wonderful sweet scent it has.

A squirrel taking a little break. I often see them in the gutters of the apartment behind me. They keep nuts up there and go there to feast on them.

Happy Sunday!
