Garden Blooms

I was driving down the street the other day past my favorite nursery. I could not hold off any longer. I stopped and went in.

I love this time of year. The blooms. The birds. The butterflies and bees.

I love to stroll around this nursery, with the fountains burbling and the scent of flowers heavy in the air.

The clematis bloomed. As the bud slowly eases open, it looks lavender. When it is opened fully, it is white.

I don't think the flower is particularly that stunning. It always looks somewhat dirty when it's fully open.

I've never had this dark petunia I don't think. But I think it is quite striking. I love purple against green in the garden.

Just hours after I planted the flowers and herbs early Saturday morning, I spotted a big yellow butterfly out there among the flowers.

Purely by accident, yellow and purple seems to be the main theme this year in the container gardens.

Anything blooming in your garden yet?
