We took Andrew to the park. He will be three years old this next week. He is growing in leaps and bounds.
His parents were married 12 years before he was born.
They had already been to college and graduate school and had their careers well underway. He was well planned and very much welcomed into their settled lives.
My daughter went into the pharmacy for me while I sat outside in the car with him. He was tired and wanted to be held. So I got him out of his car seat and he climbed into my lap.
I listened as he chattered about his coming birthday party and who he was going to invite. He told me about the St. Paddy's Day party they had at his pre-school Friday.
We listened to his music while we waited.
I pulled his head down to my chest and welcomed the somewhat earthy smell of his sturdy little boy's body while I swayed him to the music.
I am so glad he has this life.
Where he has two responsible loving parents and a Boston Terrier named Gizmo. A beautiful home and nice yard to play in.
