One of my very favorite things to do is to repurpose things.
Today I got out to walk around a few stores at Tulsa Hills. I went into Marshalls and strolled a bit. Then I headed into Michaels.
I normally don't go into Michaels much, because if I want to buy something, it's usually a long wait at the check out.
I bought one thing. The scoop you see above. I'm sure it has a better name, but I'm coming up empty on what!
It was on the clearance aisle. It was $3. I knew what I wanted to do with it.
Thankfully there were three clerks checking out, so the wait wasn't very long.
That was all I bought.
I was planning to drill a hole in the back of it, hang it on my kitchen wall vertically, and put the candle in it.
But when I got home I realized I don't have any drill bits. Or if I do, I can't find them. So I did this instead.
I put some flat marbles underneath it to balance it in the curved bottom.
I think I showed you a photo of this the other day. This is just another angle.
Graters are so much fun to play with. You can use them in many scenarios.
I'm blocking on what this vintage item is called too. Sometimes I have senior moments and cannot for the life of me summon up the name for something!
I put a vintage mason jar lid in the clamp and stuck a votive candle inside.
More and more I've begun to look at things from all angles. To think outside of the box and come up with a new way to use something.
