Apartment Therapy founder Maxwell Ryan created a career out of teaching people to live smaller in beautifully organized homes.
Let's have a look at his apartment, a 1000 square foot apartment where he and his child resides.
He replaced the old laminate counter tops with Carrara marble and used white subway tile left over from another project for the back splash.
Maxwell removed the upper cabinets. Then he painted the walls black and the lower cabinets white.
He added restaurant-style stainless steel shelves.
Maxwell obviously does not shy away from color, and uses it liberally throughout his apartment.
On his bedroom walls, he features his mother's paintings, which are obviously dear to him.
I love his colorful, cheerful and eclectic style. Every room shows his love of home, which has made Apartment Therapy a successful go-to site for small space decorating.
